“Where there is good food there is BIRRA SAN MICHELE”

We cater to those people who wish to drink beer with quality food. For this reason, we produce beers that can accompany any dish, from the burger to the lobster.

In our brewery – an 1850 old cotton mill under the Sacra di San Michele (‘Saint Michael’s Abbey’, the monument symbol of Piedmont region) we produce many and varied beer styles (currently 16 crafted, unfiltered and unpasteurized beers). The names of our beers are inspired by classical music – opera, actually. We match the sensations and emotions the beers give us with the music and the story of an opera female character.

Some of our beers have won 4 awards from UnionBirrai, the most important Italian association for craft beer: the Norma beer was elected as “Beer of the Year” in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015, and Carmen won the third prize in 2011.

Our ethical code is based on good and fair food, accessible to anybody.

Our philosophy is rooted in the fields, in agriculture, in high-quality products that can benefit our land and local community. We wish to bind in a virtuous way the world of production and consumer awareness, with an eye on environmental sustainability.

Since our foundation in 2010 we play a central role in this respect: we do not just produce beer, but we actively collaborate with the most important food industry associations and university departments in spreading this philosophy and the culture of craft beer.
