Activity description
INTEK S.r.l. is an engineering company specializing in technological systems, climate control, and energy production and transformation. In the agri-food sector, INTEK has collaborated with companies and the University of Turin to develop Agritech technologies, creating custom structures and mechanical systems to study plant responses to environmental stresses like drought, salinity, and light intensity. Previously, INTEK built a labelling chamber with climate control for the university to maintain specific temperature and humidity. Currently, INTEK is working with Plant Flow Srl on advanced climate chambers covering 300 m², capable of simulating climate crises and enabling unique experimental setups not possible with current European research infrastructure. These chambers will reproduce a wide range of conditions: temperatures from 10-40°C, humidity from 20-80%, natural-like lighting, and precise control of parameters for each plant, supporting innovative research in plant stress responses.
